This is the last week of the residence. The five weeks of the residence was an intense coming together of eight artists. The gallery of Sign isn’t a huge space, so we were strongly confronted with each other’s lives and believes and characters. The residency facilities were private and for the use of the artists only. But on a regularly base visitors came, people from the city council, students from the art academy, passerbies, friends, colleagues, etc. At the end of the residence project we had a final presentation where we showed our documentation of the project(s) we realized in public space. The end presentation gave an insight in the making of the projects and the thoughts behind the work. There were videos, photographs, drawings, texts etc. The whole project lasted two months and reached a big audience if you take into account; the people in public space that were confronted with the projects, the people who visited the exhibition and the people who followed the project on the this website. The day after the opening the artists took their bags and left the residency.
